Basic Rights Oregon - Eugene/Springfield

Basic Rights Oregon is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, statewide advocacy organization whose mission is to end discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in Oregon. We do that by mobilizing our supporters to elect fair-minded candidates to office, lobby elected officials on legislation affecting LGBT Oregonians, fight anti-LGBT ballot measures, and educate the public.

Basic Rights Eugene/Springfield (BRES) is a group of volunteers who carry out BRO's work at the local level, with a local flavor. BRES is staffed by BRO's two Eugene-based organizers. If you are politically active, highly motivated or want to begin working for basic rights, you are a person we want to join BRES. The duties will accommodate any level of experience, from seasoned veteran to fledgling activist.
